Featuring a body of new works by Hong Kong artist Edwin Lo, Traces and Scenes – Homage to Akio Suzuki is the artist’s first solo exhibition in the US. Organized as a multimedia three-part essay, the exhibition presents how Lo retraces the memories of his encounters with the Japanese artist Akio Suzuki, condensing their influences, to gradually culminate into a new sonic performance practice that embraces uncertainty through intervention with a site.

Coincident with Mother's Day, Wavefront artist Mark Chung will present a reworking of some video sculptures he made about his mother. He will screen the works as one piece, and perform a new scripted narration to accompany the visuals. Lou Mallozzi will then discuss Mark's Chicago experiences and how they have informed his work.

In his performance As I have listened / Please chat with me, Samson invites the audience to respond, interact, and improvise with the evolving contents of his journey, using objects, texts, and simple instructions based on his experiences. This reflects his change of mind from a passive to an active way of adapting to a new place, and creates yet another new layer of his (shared) memories in Chicago.
