ESS has assembled three of the most prolific percussionists in Chicago's jazz and improvised music scene - Jason Adasiewicz (vibes), Tim Daisy (marimba), and Michael Zerang (xylophone) - to engage in an unprecedented concatenation of mallet instruments. The three will improvise in solo, duo and trio configurations, all in the beautiful setting of our ivy-lined, terraced garden. Refreshments will be served, and special guest DJ Nick Butcher (My Silence, Sonnenzimmer) will take the helm between sets.
