CAA Artist Residency & Release: Marc Fischer - The Ex & Tom Cora Scrapbook

In the first half of 2020 Marc Fischer of Public Collectors worked with Creative Audio Archive’s Malachi Ritscher Collection as the first remote Archive Artist in Residence.

Marc culminated his residency by producing the second in a series of facsimile collection items from the Creative Audio Archive. Produced in collaboration with Marc, and thanks to the generosity of Terrie Ex, G.W. Sok and the rest of the band - The Ex & Tom Cora: February 26th, 1994 Scrapbook was released—and quickly sold out— as an edition of 100 exclusively for ESS members and gala donors.

Marc selected a recording from the Malachi Ritscher Collection of The Ex & Tom Cora performing live at the Lounge Ax in 1994 - a show he experienced first hand as an audience member - and collected writings and ephemera to create a new handmade publication that contextualizes the concert, both historically and personally.
