New Music Chicago Presents: Lumina Piano Duo

Join us Tuesday, September 15 at ESS for a special evening presented by New Music Chicago. Lumina Piano Duo performs “All That Piano,” an evening of contemporary piano music by living composers, showcasing the piano’s versatility through dynamic solo and piano duo (one piano, four hands) works that explore expressive range, rhythmic vitality, and coloristic possibilities. The program is centered on the theme of dance, taking works such as Ravel’s La Valse and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite for inspiration, including Mike Cornick’s Latin Suite, Juri Seo’s Piano Sonata, and works by NMC composers.

NMCP is free to attend, but donations are encouraged to ensure NMC can continue presenting its members’ work to the maximum of its ability!
