ESS presents a special pop-up program, Sonografias |:| Urgent Latin American Sound Art, by Brazilian artist Eric Barbosa. Sonografias integrates sound performance, collaborations, creative processes, and a micro-exhibition composed of works, sound sculptures, video art, and installation creations.
This expansive project is an investigative and expository expedition that derives from independent processes, but which connect as a work. In his exhibition, the artist envisions an expanded integration of his works, installations and sound sculptures, as an element of sound and aesthetic intersections between Brazil, Mexico and the United States from an insurgent Latin American perspective - raising awareness of their historical, social, ancestral and contemporary cooperation.
The Sonografias project: Latin American sound art is urgently needed for the realization and artistic orientation of Flotar (México) and Harmonipan (EUA). Curated by Juci Reis. Institutional Support of the Ceará Criativo Program and the Secretary of Culture of the State of Ceará (SECULT-CE).
This program is FREE and open to the public.
