Open Call for TQC Streaming Shows

About TQC

TQC (formerly known as The Quarantine Concerts) is evolving and continuing on!

Originally envisioned as a stop-gap to in-person programming during the pandemic, TQC has evolved over the past two years into a vibrant platform for experimentation and gathering community. Over 2,200 artists have presented work on the platform since we began TQC in 2020 alongside an inspiring community of local and national organizers.

Based on feedback solicited from 100+ artists and curators who presented streaming work over the past two years, ESS has made the decision to continue TQC on as a platform for the online presentation of experimental sound, media, and performance of all genres as well as related programming such as panel discussions, interviews, etc. We aim to be a resource for presentation and archiving of new work, whether it is created specifically for streaming or is the online presentation of a live performance.

Call for Proposals

As always, TQC will remain an open call format, welcoming program ideas from curators and artists throughout the world. Each program will receive:

  • A $200 stipend per show

  • All concerts are premiered and archived on the ESS YouTube channel

  • All concerts receive ESS technical support with a dedicated engineer point person for soundchecks and streaming

  • ESS will market the platform as a whole and will continue to actively work on establishing an expanding audience for this online space
