Juliann Wang’s album “Notes in the wind” is a cinematic downtempo journey, and the culmination of a project that spanned more than a year. Recorded and produced at Experimental Sound Studio in Chicago, and supported in part by generous funding through DCASE grants, the Album straddles cultures and genres to explore the sensory aspects of music. In a way similar to a skilled culinarian, creating mirages for the palate from carefully sourced elements, this delicately crafted sonic journey transports listeners in space and time across shifting sonic landscapes.
