Program Description:
Join us for the sonorous activations from the exhibition process Selva Lunar, that took place in Biquini Wax EPS in Mexico City during the summer. The two sets presented guide us in rethinking our relationships with living and non-living beings.
Jimena García Álvarez Buylla and Nicolás Graham present Llegada, a sonorous reading of a welcome letter which Jimena wrote to a Tepozán tree that was born in a plant pot on their rooftop, where it co-inhabits with Jimena now.
Lucía R, Pedro Assam, and Carolina Vélez Muñiz present Ensamblaje, a performance in collaboration with a reactive sound sculpture made of disposed electronics, contact mics, and simple hand-built circuits.
