Yellow at Noon was performed in January 1979 at Garrett List's Lower Manhattan loft to a small invited audience with List as trombonist accompanying Binion creating a path, walking the path, and arriving at the end of the path to find Garrett List, sitting and playing trombone.
To begin, the floral artist envelopes the performer from head to toe in fresh flowers. The woman covered in flowers is a realization of French symbolist artist Odilon Redon’s (1840-1916) concept of the fille-fleur. Standing immobile for one hour, she emulates a still-life painting and at the same time projects power as she holds her ground.

Matthew Bryar’s Attorneys General project brings together artists into an ensemble where they make sounds which are then filtered through Bryar’s rig. He live mixes, loops, distorts, and mangles into a sometimes beautiful, sometimes cacophonous sound.

Sonic Transmissions announces the premiere of a commissioned video work by Irreversible Entanglements, a liberation-oriented free jazz collective formed in early 2015 by saxophonist Keir Neuringer, poet Camae Ayewa (a.k.a. Moor Mother) and bassist Luke Stewart. The video premiere runs parallel to our solidarity with those affected by the horrific war in Ukraine.
