Pique is back with its largest and most ambitious event yet, happening June 11, 2022 at the Arts Court. Forward-thinking and artist-driven, Pique is a quarterly all-ages and pay-what-you-can festival produced by Debaser, Ottawa’s leading independent and underground presenter.
For the summer edition of Pique, Debaser is joining forces with the Arts Court and its resident arts organizations to celebrate its new and improved facilities with an arts festival like no other.
Pique summer edition will feature bold and innovative live music performances, visual art installations, DJ sets, dance and performance art on five stages and three floors, indoors and outdoors.

Sonic world-builder and Afrofuturist beat-maker OBUXUM (Toronto).
Inuk producer/rapper/DJ Uyarakq (Greenland) in collaboration with Sami filmmaker and DJ Sunna Maaret (Finland), and throat-singing futurist Qattuu (Ottawa, member of Silla and Rise) – the culmination of an arts residency co-hosted with SAW and the Nordic Lab.
Underground Trans Palestinian artist & activist Mossy Mugler (Montreal/NYC).
Multi-instrumentalist and upcoming indie popstar Eve Parker Finley (Montreal).
Experimental avant-pop songwriter and Constellation Records recording artist Kee Avil (Montreal).
Rhythm-twisted contemporary jazz artist JOYFULTALK (Crousetown, NS).
The premiere of new commissioned work by Qattuu in collaboration with local jazz influenced indie-pop songwriter Jessy Lindsay (Ottawa).
Daytime and evening showcase performances by BIPOC and 2SLGBTQ+ focused street dance collective IDTE (Ottawa).
Experimental electro-acoustic saxophonist Linsey Wellman (Gatineau, member of FET.NAT).
Smooth and sultry R&B crooner, and emerging local artist Lonely Boy (Ottawa).
Pique is produced in partnership with the Arts Court, the Ottawa Art Gallery, the University of Ottawa Theatre Dept., SAW, Digital Arts Resource Centre, Jumblies Theatre, Ottawa New Music Creators, No Borders Community Voices, Artengine, Ottawa Fringe, the Canadian Film Institute, and Ottawa Dance Directive, with support from Kilam Media, Firegrove Studio, Wall Sound, Le Seltzer, Dominion City Brewing Co, Also Cool, CKCU FM, CHUO FM, and Apt613, and is funded by the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, the Government of Canada, City of Ottawa and the SOCAN Foundation.
