Andrea Pensado (MA)
Based in the US since 2002, Pensado uses voice and electronics to make her music. She uses Max as her main programming tool. The voice is constantly interwoven in the improvisations. The approach to both, programming and performance is highly intuitive. The harsh cut up noise result, mixed with the strong emotional component of her music, generates a deeply personal sonic language. Occasionally, the combination of the performance situation, the often abrasive sounds, the irrational use of the voice and the inherent uncertainty of improvisations contributes to discoveries of unknown places in her mind.
Pensado performs extensively in the US and abroad. She also runs Sonorium, a series of experimental music based in Salem, MA.
Pale Stag (MD)
Pale Stag is a free-rock trio from Baltimore, MD. Rising from the ashes of the performative noise group LSBP (LiveShitBingePurge), Pale Stag pushes the failed relationship of guitar, bass, drums, and vocals to its terminal conclusion.

Embarker (PA)
EMBARKER is the solo project of media artist and musician Michael Roy Barker (m.barker). Based out of Philadelphia, PA. m.barker deploys a variety of electronics, modular synthesizers, homemade instruments, and voice to create improvised sound collages and compositions. Performed live, these audio works provide soundtracks to moving image works created from his library of found-footage culled from thrift stores and jettisoned nostalgic material of unknown origin. In addition to EMBARKER, m.barker plays in Hatchers, the free improvised electronics and drums duo. m.barker has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, and Japan and has released numerous recordings on a variety of formats.
Liz Meredith (MD)
Liz Meredith is a violist, improviser and composer from Baltimore, MD. Her music explores intersections between acoustic chamber music, instrumental improvisation, electro-acoustic composition, and ambient music. Liz’s recordings include 2 solo albums, The Disposition of Vibrant Forms, a 5 LP set in collaboration with John Somers (brother of Alex Somers), and various solo and collaborative works on cassette. Her most recent solo album Repro, released on Spleencoffin, received critical acclaim from publications such as Tiny Mix Tapes, Vital Weekly, ATTN Magazine, and the Sound Projector. In addition to performing her own music, Liz has premiered new works by emerging composers, and has also contributed her sound to recordings by a wide range of artists.
Liz’s performance record is fittingly diverse. She has performed at rock clubs, D.I.Y. spaces, art galleries, chamber music venues, music festivals, and academic conferences throughout the United States. Career highlights include performances at Signal Flow Festival, Mills College; High Zero Festival (Baltimore, MD); several performances at the Baltimore Museum of Art; The Walters Art Museum (Baltimore, MD); and The Stone (New York City, NY).
Liz holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Music Composition from Mills College (Oakland, CA). She has studied music composition with Fred Frith and viola performance with Hank Dutt of Kronos Quartet.
