Justin Murphy leads an array of online projects including a workspace, university, discussion forum, and series of podcast discussions, replete with its own social coin. Charlie Looker is a musician, composer, YouTube and thought worker. A talk about whether or not the internet achieves place-hood!

Justin Murphy’s research has been published in IEEE Intelligent Systems, International Studies Quarterly, The British Journal of Political Science,and popular outlets such as Foreign Affairs and New Statesman. He was a permanent Lecturer for five years at the University of Southampton before he left to work independently on the internet full-time. His work is funded by patrons, book sales, courses, and consulting.

Charlie Looker has been active in underground and experimental music circles since the early 00s as a composer, vocalist, guitarist, arranger, and producer. His music brings together diverse influences and styles including metal, classical composition, pop, improvisation, early music, and electronic music. Looker has written for various chamber ensembles, however most of his output has been through his own bands and monikers. These include Psalm Zero, Extra Life, Seaven Teares, and Nothing Human, all of which have performed extensively across the United States and Europe. In 2020, Looker founded the YouTube channel Last Things, a platform for cultural criticism and live interviews. Looker was born in New York City, and came up through the city’s DIY music culture. Since 2019, he has been based between New York and Los Angeles.
