Option Talks Music: Benjamin Vergara

Meet Benjamin Vergara. Trumpeter, improviser and educator based in Valdivia, Chile. Benjamin will discuss his wide range of creative work which includes performance in free jazz, contemporary and improvised music ensembles as well as his directorship of the Relincha experimental music festival which has been occurring in Valdivia since 2014. Don’t miss a great opportunity to listen and learn about Benjamin’s work as well as creative music scene happening in South America and beyond. Trumpeter, improviser and educator, based in the city of Valdivia, Chile.
His work focuses on improvised music, written contemporary music, free jazz and experimental music.
Director of Festival of experimental music –Relincha- occurring since 2014 in the city of Valdivia.
Professor in music improvisation at School of  Music and SoundArt of the  Universidad Austral de Chile.
He has collaborated with a huge range of musicians, ensembles and multi disciplinary projects.
