With sky-high rents, Seoul is a tough city to carve out DIY music spaces. But underground venue ACS (Ahn Cheol Soon) is staying strong in the heart of Euljiro, a neighborhood with a vibrant arts and music scene. They've been operating the space since 2019, closing up shop and reopening twice in different locations. For TQC, we've teamed up with ACS to showcase experimental artists in Seoul, from avant-garde sound artists to forward-thinking synth wranglers.

ARTIST BIOS:
Computer Music Club
Computer Music Club is a Seoul-based Electronic music crew and a label for dancefloor, consisting of Uman Therma, Yeong Die & Yetsuby. Starting off the project in March 2021 with their first release Computer Music Club, Vol. 1, the three have continued to drop a series of mischievous yet powerful tracks. Their recent release Computer Music Club, Vol. 4 with three tracks of footwork, jungle and breakbeat infused was released this November and is available on Computer Music Club bandcamp as well as multiple streaming platforms.

Ejae
Ejae is the bassist for the bands Hyodo and Bass and Numnum. She released her first solo ep album Now Trash on March 3, 2021, and is currently active in Seoul.

Heejin Jang
Heejin Jang is a multidisciplinary artist based in Seoul. Jang has lived, exhibited, and performed around the globe. In her live sound performance, Heejin presents a set of improvised computer music. She arranges and synthesizes sonic spaces that draw from the everyday and the trivial, re-forming them into phenomenal situations of meditation or digitally induced panic.

Hosoo
호수 HOSOO are an experimental music duo of Hohyun Baek and Woongsoo Byun in Seoul, South Korea. Influenced by music of various genres and times, they search for sounds having a sense of place by playing spontaneously with acoustic and electronic sounds.
