There Is No Planet Earth is an online audiovisual archive of the underground lightlife in New York, Chicago and Detroit from the 70’s to the 90’s. With content ranging from vintage Ballroom footage to rare House tracks, the archive shares material connected to queer culture, usually with contributions by Black artists. For Thursday's concert, There Is No Planet Earth will be presenting a selector’s set of their video archive.

Cesar Othón, also known as Cutarro, is an architect and multidisciplinary artist from Panama. Their work focuses on the narrative qualities of music, especially from the Black diaspora. In their DJ sets, they use a curatorial approach to explore themes such as history, culture, and identity through popular music, experimental sounds, voice recordings, and video archives. While presenting, they create an atmosphere of celebration of the Black experience through the acknowledgement of its universal sound.

Desculonización is a platform to exchange wisdom and transfeminist support which has been active since 2015. Based in Brazil and Mexico, it incites us to think about aftermath of the racialization of non-white and non-conforming bodies in the current neofacist condition.

It acts as an anti-civilizing campaign through the joy of the delighted body, which feels pleasure and dances over the ruins of order and progress, of good customs, of the traditional family.

Focused on the intersection of dance and music, through action and thought it presents the mission of rescuing activation devices in the anti-colonial memory within moving modies. It surgues from the force of destruction, occupation, invasion, and re-existence which is concentrated in our hips and resonates throughout the body. Desculonización is not just a concept, it is a movement; a web of care to the bodies which occupy the precarized lands of the third world. We act through the body and the word, bringing music, dance, and history. More than giving answers, we question all which robs us of life.
