Antonio Borghini is a double bass player based in Berlin. He's active since twenty years as improviser. Out of countless musical meetings he co-founded “Hook, Line and Sinker”, a music theater ensemble with Tristan Honsinger, Axel Dörner and Tobias Delius; “Der Lange Schatten” with Michael Thieke and Håvard Wiik; “Die Hochstapler”, with Pierre Borel, Louis Laurain and Hannes Lingens; “Schnell”, a bebop-trance trio with Christian Lillinger and Pierre Borel. He is also regularly playing with Alexander Von Schlippenbach, Günter Sommer, Achim Kaufmann, Olaf Rupp, Hilary Jeffery, Tony Buck, Rudi Mahall, Aki Takase, Sven-Åke Johanson

Mats Gustafsson was born 1964 in Umeå, Northern Sweden. Saxplayer, improviser and composer. Solo artist and international tours and projects with a.o.  Sonic Youth, Merzbow, Jim O´Rourke, Barry Guy, Otomo Yoshihide, Yoshimi, Ken Vandermark and in working groups The Thing, FIRE!, Gush,  Boots Brown, Swedish Azz and Fake (the facts). Large ensemble work with Barry Guy New Orchestra, FIRE! Orchestra and the NU – ensemble.

Over 1800 concerts and over 200 record productions in Europe, Australia, Africa, North & South America and Asia.

Collaborations with contemporary dance, theater, art, poetry as well as projects with noise, electronica, contemporary rock and free jazz.

Producer of international festivals and concert tours as well as work with own record labels Slottet, OlofBright Editions and Blue Tower Records.

 

Chicago – based drummer, and composer Tim Daisy has worked in the fields of improvised and composed music since 1997. He has performed, recorded, and toured with many acclaimed musicians and ensembles from both the North American and European improvised music scenes including: Mars Williams, Ken Vandermark, Fred Lonberg -Holm, Elisabeth Harnik, Dave Rempis, James Falzone, Russ Johnson, Havard Wiik, Mikolaj Trzaska, Clayton Thomas, Per-Ake Holmlander, Steve Swell, Aram Shelton, Rafael Toral, Michael Zerang, Kyle Bruckmann, and Katherine Young

Tim has toured throughout North America and Europe in a solo context as well as with acclaimed avant- garde jazz ensembles including the Vandermark 5, The Rempis Percussion Quartet, The Engines, The Rempis/Daisy Duo, The Frame Quartet, the Resonance Ensemble and Made to Break.

Major festival appearances including the North Sea Jazz Festival, The Newport Jazz Festival, The Chicago Jazz Festival, Alarme festival Berlin, Suoni Per Il Popolo Festival Montreal, the Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville, and the Music Unlimited festival in Wels, Austria.

Since June of 2014, he has been a co- programmer for the Option music salon at Experimental Sound Studio. The programming explores contemporary perspectives on improvisation and composition in a ‘salon’ format, enabling local, national, and international artists to publicly discuss their practice and ideas as well as perform
