Ken Camden (Kranky, Implodes) and Alex Barnett (Oakeater, Barnett + Coloccia) team up for an evening of electro-acoustic music. “Electro-Acoustic” will showcase a series of small ensemble pieces focusing on paired timbres of electronic and acoustic instruments. Amongst a list of banjo, harmonium, test tone oscillators, and monophonic synthesizers, this event will also employ sample-based instruments developed by Ken and Alex. This will be the first time Ken and Alex have collaborated since the Runawei Project (Digitalis, LTD 2011). Expect video accompaniment and a few surprise guests.

Since relocating to Chicago in 2005, Brett Naucke has established himself as a prominent mainstay in the Experimental & Avant-Garde music and arts communities with both his solo sonic & visual endeavors as well as his record label; Catholic Tapes. In February of 2012, Naucke released The Visitor, his debut LP on Chicago’s own Nihilist Records imprint. The Visitor's follow-up, Seed, is slated for an early 2014 release on Spectrum Spools, sub-label to the prolific Austrian-based Editions Mego family of labels.
At Oscillations, Naucke will perform Composition for Richard Serra's Reading Cones (in quadraphony), a three-movement work that utilizes the shape, material, and spacial sense of the title's namesake sculpture, as translated through field recordings and spectral synthesis.
